THIS IS NOT A DRILL!
Back in March we posted a notice urging all Club members to get current with their UAS and TRUST certificates in order to comply with the exemption for limited recreational operation of unmanned aircraft. These are 2 of the 8 part rules outlined in the 44809 Exemption Document required to allow us to fly legally. The remainder of the items are shown in the excerpt of the 44809 document we will be posting at the field for reference. Although the AMA is in process of working with the FAA to further refine these requirements and other issues such as remote ID and establishing AMA Chartered fields as FRIA zones, the current document is what we must comply with. Steve Willison is in process up updating our list of complying members, please contact him to verify your status.
