The EFR will be closed Tuesday 8-22 through Thursday, 8-24-2023 while the Marine Corps conducts flight operations from Camp San Luis Obispo. Please do not enter the EFR or Cal Poly Ranch area.

Well, this doesn’t happen very often. Steve found lift and got some pretty good landings resulting in a “Double Birdie”.  Morgan was close on his tail. There was very little wind and some serious fog the first couple of rounds…Steve

While this morning was Postcard Perfect at the flying field, flying was challenging. I think everyone had bragging rights today. Steve stumbled across some thermals and did pretty well. Mike nailed his landings…Steve

I just returned from far away where Ducks thermal and rivers flow uphill. I would have loved to have been at Last week’s contest that had its own magic. Way to go David!…Steve

We had a wonderful Contest…couldn’t have asked for a better morning. We earned our scores, they didn’t come easy…Steve

Reminder: It is imperative that all RC pilots immediately land their aircraft when full-scale aircraft are approaching the area.

The gate near the ranch manager’s house has fractured at the base of the post and collapsed.

Only the Mighty survive…Way to go guys!…very impressive. I wish I had been there.
